interior design and craft of Restaurant Le Bon Kreuzberg, Berlin.
LeBon wanted to create the ideal environment for extending their opening hours into the night, while maintaining their ability to serve as the neighbourhood’s brunch spot. Jonas therefore designed the space to include their current clientéle, while also providing a bar and private corners for dinner and drinks late into the night.
Both of the two rooms that make up LeBon were redesigned: the first room required a completely new style for a new kind of after-hours customer. The redesign of the front room included a cocktail bar and space for people to enjoy a laid back meal. In addition, the staircase carrying visitors from the first area to the back room is constructed to create corner alcoves in the front room on both sides – on one, for seating, and on the other, for the bar, both cozily sheltered by the stairs.
This collaboration involved Rebel & Sons for building the bar area, and Sebastian and Michel Gutzeit to complete the benches, tables, and the acoustic panels.
